FP MAP protein-free blocker

Fapon Biotech has developed a proprietary protein-free blocker, FP MAP to minimize non-specific interactions in an IVD assay. It would be of great utility to IVD developers. FP MAP, comprising an amphoteric polymer, has hydrophobic and hydrophilic sides in its chemical structure. The hydrophobic side binds to the non-specific protein binding sites on the solid substrate, while the hydrophilic side is exposed to the environment to build a protective hydrophilic layer that prevents the binding of interfering proteins.

Overview

It would be of great utility to IVD developers. FP MAP, comprising an amphoteric polymer, has hydrophobic and hydrophilic sides in its chemical structure. The hydrophobic side binds to the non-specific protein binding sites on the solid substrate, while the hydrophilic side is exposed to the environment to build a protective hydrophilic layer that prevents the binding of interfering proteins.

Benefits

  • Chemically synthesized, minimal inter-batch variations, non-animal origin

  • Small molecule blocks much better than larger conventional blockers

  • Reduced cross-reactivity and non-specific binding

  • Increased sensitivity

  • Available for different platforms

  • High production yield (in kg)

  • 10x concentrated on efficient shipment
