We are keen to develop products and services on our own, to protect our intellectual properties, and to build up our own teams. After many years of hard work in the IVD industry, we are now able to offer various advanced technologies and innovative applications for raw materials, instruments and reagent services. More than 40% of our workforce are R&D professionals. Among them, nearly 60% hold master's degrees or higher. Furthermore, we have a team of Ph.D. scientists from renowned universities who assume leadership positions across our diverse business units. Their expertise and guidance enable us to consistently innovate, explore, and deliver state-of-the-art products and services to the market.

Comprehensive intellectual property systems

We have developed and implemented comprehensive IP strategies which form an integral part of our R&D systems. These strategies encompass IP protection, management of IP risks, promotion of innovation through patents, efficient IP operation, and the continuous increase of IP awareness. As of May 2024, we have filed more than 1,200 patent applications globally, more than 80% of which are for inventions. Over 450 of these have been granted. Our patent portfolio covers a wide range of immunoassays and molecular diagnostics for 39 diseases, including major infectious diseases, myocardial diseases, kidney function diseases and inflammation. Additionally, our patents extend to diagnostic instruments such as CLIA analyzers, qPCR instruments (for point-of-care settings) and sequencers.
