What is this test?
This product uses the GRASPlex® targeted amplicon sequencing and the 16S amplicon sequencing technologies to analyze 73 common vaginal microorganisms and community state types (CSTs), and identify potential imbalances and pathogens, allowing early intervention. By pinpointing the microbial causes of your vaginal problems, this test prevents antibiotic overuse and overtreatment, and provides necessary information for evidence-based solutions.
What is it for?
Why is it needed?
-
Risk assessment
This test analyzes the composition and the structure of your vaginal microbiome, and identifies potential imbalances and pathogens, allowing early intervention.
-
Precision diagnosis and treatment
By pinpointing the microbial causes of your vaginal problems, this test prevents antibiotic overuse. It provides evidence for a shift from using antimicrobials alone to using other treatments such as probiotics as well for treating infections and restoring mucosa and microbiota.
-
Evidence-based intervention
By analyzing the structure and the types of your vaginal microbiota, this test helps design the use of probiotics and other interventions.
-
Family planning
By assessing your vaginal microenvironment and identifying potential risk factors for pregnancy, this test allows evidence-based intervention, and increases your chances of getting pregnant.
