Creating lasting value for partners
Following the sustainability ratings of EcoVadis, we are striving to create lasting value for our partners to make them sustainable from these aspects: carbon emissions, energy efficiency, water management, supply chain management, and corporate governance.
Based on our own situation, we have formulated a plan to help achieve the goals for peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality. This plan includes building green factories, using clean energy and recyclable materials, preparing a white paper on the goal to become carbon neutral, publishing a CSR report about greenhouse gas emissions, and managing the carbon footprint of our products throughout their lifecycle. The plan can be activated at any time if needed.
We have an Energy Management Policy along with various measures for reducing energy consumption. They are formulated to address global water shortage and get aligned with the Chinese Government’s policy encouraging the use of clean electricity from diverse sources. For example, we encourage our plants to use electricity during different periods of a day, to improve the heating process, and to adopt waste heat recovery in an effort to increase steam utilization. We also ask them to inspect equipment dealing with water or steam on a regular basis, to recycle water, and to drain equipment regularly.
We screen our suppliers as an important part of our supply chain on a regular basis and manage them level-by-level. We sync the data of each other electronically, to ensure that their raw materials come from legitimate sources, their production processes are compliant with related standards, and their production management systems are rigorous and effective. This also ensures that our strategic suppliers can improve their efficiency and productivity, and we have a sufficient pool of potentially qualified suppliers for sustainable procurement.
We operate in 68 countries and regions worldwide. Following a global strategy, we value human rights, diversity, and inclusiveness. We have an Employee Handbook that is updated annually. We protect the health and safety of our employees as well as their right-to-know. Adopting good business ethics is the bottom line for us as a company. We follow both Chinese and international laws and regulations on business ethics. Protecting public health in the world together
We adopt a global strategy to promote international collaboration in public health. We are collaborating with the public health sector of a growing number of countries focusing on building a disease prevention and control system for them. We provide raw materials for them to prevent multiple highly infectious diseases in an effort to discover those diseases earlier and take preventive measures earlier, so as to help protect public health in those countries.

Preventing HIVWe solved a bottleneck in providing raw materials for detecting HIV, which laid a solid foundation for diagnosing and preventing HIV in China at the beginning of the 21st century.

We are playing an active role in driving global health governance and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We are also taking various measures to help fulfill the Healthy China 2030 initiative.

Early screening of chronic diseases
To help prevent chronic diseases, we are working hard to drive their early screening and diagnosis. Especially, we are developing raw materials for the in vitro detection of chronic respiratory diseases and driving their early screening and diagnosis.

Health management for seniors
Gearing up interventions for common age-related diseases and enhancing health management for seniors are very important to improving the health of seniors. We specialize in the discovery of biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease and the development of reagents for their detection. We want to promote healthy aging for seniors through the early screening of the disease.

Food safety
To improve the standard system for food safety, to dovetail China’s food safety standard with international standards, and to help put into place a farm-to-table food safety system, we developed a monoclonal antibody for detecting clenbuterol, which is widely recognized for its performance in helping to ensure food safety.

Medical progress
We are driving cutting-edge medical technologies including the AI-powered multiomics. We are also helping to make breakthroughs in key areas such as precision medicine and smart health by discovering new biomarkers and using AI to drive R&D. Our purpose is to support the prevention of major diseases through technology.
